The RV belongs to the new residents of 910. They have 2 other vehicles, no other off street parking and so we have the equivalent of 4 new vehicles added to a narrow street.
One reason 3rd is having such an issue is the 1st street detour. Folks are not going down to 4th or 5th, instead take 3rd (I get it, it's shorter, but it's a narrow street full of parked cars in absolutely horrible condition with washboards, ruts, potholes and a spring that has a whole pothole convention at the alley between Polk and Western.)
Residents like me are also facing issues with all the folks that are ignoring the local traffic only sign and are driving on 1st until they have to turn and the traffic there is steady...to the point I have a hard time getting out of the neighborhood. In addition the 'no commercial vehicles' is being ignored and I'm sitting in my living room and watching semis roll by as the neighborhood kids are playing outside. Full sized semis with trailers navigating the residential streets.
This is in addition to frustrated aggressive drivers zipping around at 40+ ticked off because they have to take a detour.
So when you close this ticket and turn it over to TPD for enforcement, please encourage them to hang out in the neighborhood.

Thank you. Yes, there is significant congestion because folks are not following the detours. Third is very busy as well as Taylor (folks go as far east as they can on 1st, then south on Taylor when forced to. Since Taylor does not stop at third, east/west traffic gets held up there. They also go east/west on 3rd instead of going to 4th or 5th as directed.)
The stop signs are being ignored more than usual, traffic is zipping through faster than they should, semis are rolling down residential streets and there is a major event starting at Ward Meade park the 11th that will make things worse in the evenings. So any help is greatly appreciated.

Information was left at the home about Topeka parking codes. Officers will follow up on this issue to make sure the camper gets moved.
Officers will also focus on this area due to the multiple traffic complaints that appeared to be happening due to the detour.
This ticket is going to be closed out, but Officers will still be working to improve the issues in the area.
