Description

There is a god awful machinery sounds that reverbs at night all through north Topeka. I don’t know where it’s coming from but it’s been weeks and we are about to lose our @#$% up here not being able to sleep.

I posted a public comment about this to a community page and most people agree that it may be Union Pacific leaving their trains running and extra trains coming through at night. This appears to be something that happened March of 2021 also according to news reports that were found. Can we request to have a quiet zone/hours put in effect? Unless of course you find another source. It’s definitely something that many people have advised they hear throughout a wide area of Topeka.
