I full on agree with this. It is so dangerous trying to turn accross off of 200th to 32nd. There is no consequences for all of the speeders on this road, makingbit even more dangerous.

The meterd on ramp to i5 S. backs up 200th sometimes from Military to Pac Hwy.

Making a left turn westbound at this intersection is extremely dangerous during rush hour. The amount of traffic backed up on 200th in the left lane eastbound towards I-5 makes it so you can not see oncoming traffic in the right lane. The left lane is stop and go, while the right lane moves at normal speed . Several accidents have occurred and many more near misses

City staff are well aware of the deficiencies along this roadway and agree that changes are needed. The City has already conducted a study on this segment of S 200th St. If you want to learn more on this, you can find the study here:

The SR509 Completion Project will significantly modify traffic patterns in this area with future on ramps planned near the intersection of 26th Ave S & S 200th St. The 509 project is anticipated to be completed in 2028. As a result, re-design of this roadway corridor will begin around 2028/29 to better capture the new traffic patterns. As part of the roadway corridor redesign, intersections such as the one at 32nd Ave S will be made safer. We'll also look to implement improvements at the intersection of Military Road S & S 200th St to minimize queuing of vehicles on S 200th St during rush hour.

Unfortunately, there is not much I can do to make the intersection at S 200th St & 32nd Ave S safer in the near term. The pedestrian signals at the crosswalk appear to be functioning properly. These are the best tools we have right now to facilitate a safe pedestrian crossing.
