Description

There are a couple of very aggressive dogs on an electric fence in the front yard that comes right up against a public sidewalk (maybe a foot) - so close that the dogs can almost bite people walking. Every time we walk by and the dogs are out, they bark aggressively and charge the fence. They looked like they were going to attack my 7 year old, and he ran away screaming. I believe these dogs are a nuisance and are not properly restrained.

My understanding is that this violates several ordinances, including allowing dogs to bark aggressively with passers-by, having dangerous dogs on an underground fence, and having a fence closer than 10 ft from a public sidewalk.

This section of sidewalk is virtually impassable as long as the dogs are out, and I fear that they would run through the electric fence and attack someone, such as a small child. Part of me fears even letting my kids play in the front yard - thinking that one of those dogs could run through the fence and get loose in the neighborhood.

I hope that the city does something about this.
