I am writing this email in distress. I would like to file a formal report regarding the property at 2422 23rd Street South St Petersburg Florida 33712. This property was owned by a family. It is currently in probate Court and under foreclosure by the mortgage company. Due to this the upkeep of the property has declined in the last year ever since the passing of the matriarch of the family. There is a homeless encampment on the smaller side, I believe the north side of the home, where a pit has been dug in the ground and food is cooked on a great. Human waste is collected in a 5 gallon bucket and disposed of over the fence into the abandoned property next door. Solid waste is also being discarded in this way. There is no work running water in the apartment at the rear of the property. And the occupants of that apartment are responsible for the solid waste being dumped over the fence into the neighboring yard. The smell from feces and urine and rotted food. There is a refrigerator plugged in outside in the middle of the yard that can't have proper voltage. And inspection should be done of this property to ensure that it is within health code standards which on a simple drive by of the property would confirm it is not.

This is considered a third-party complaint which would not be allowed as of June 29, 2021, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed Senate Bill 60. Originating Complainant must file a complaint directly with Code Compliance or through SeeClickFix with the Complainant's information.
On June 29, 2021, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed Senate Bill 60 into law, which no longer allows code enforcement officers to investigate anonymous complaints. All code enforcement reports must include the complainant’s personal information, including full name and address. Please resubmit your SeeClickFix and add your full name and address to the mandatory fields.
The new law states, “A person designated as a code inspector may not initiate an investigation of a potential violation of a duly enacted code or ordinance by way of an anonymous complaint. A person who reports a potential violation of a code or an ordinance must provide their full name and address to the governing body of the respective board of county commissioners before an investigation occurs.”
