Description

While hiking today at 12:33pm I observed an illegal firearm regulation sign at Hays preserve. The state of Alabama per Alabama code 13A-11-61.3 is the only authority that can regulate firearms. I would like to formally request the illegal sign be taken down since there is no "state" law banning the possession of firearms at Hays preserve. Even if the city of Huntsville passed an ordinance ( which they didn't because I checked ) it would be illegal. Again, the state of Alabama has full authority over firearm regulation.
I will be filing a formal complaint with the Attorney General's office as well so they can review the matter and ensure the city of Huntsville is following all applicable state laws pertaining to firearm regulation.
