Because traffic engineering made New st which runs parallel to Lee, one-way and with the speeding traffic we already had from Navicent Health employees, our short street has become a speed-way for people who do not even live in Bibb county plus the renters on New St. We have several families with young children, our garages and carports abutt Lee St. and at least three times, I have had vehicles swerve onto my apron to avoid facing traffic yet almost hit me and my vehicle. We as neighbors propose County closing off Lee St at the Maple ST. entrance to avoid the danger of loss of a little or adult life, collisions, hazardous conditions from speeding vehicles and the blind sighted area which exists.
