+1. The fact that they insist on doing major work during peak commuting hours makes walking, biking, and driving unsafe and unpleasant. There is no reason why they can't work 9-4 instead of 630-2. Narrowed corners, unmarked and broken pavement, and equipment blocking the sidewalk, bike lane and occasionally travel lanes are completely unsat and need to be addressed. Who decided it was OK to put their field office trailer ON THE SIDEWALK vice across the street, or around the corner where there is more space? Why was there no coordination made between Moriarty and CSX which owns the areas adjacent, to have the field office located on the massive open area not being utilized by CSX? None of these entities care, and frankly I doubt that DDOT/311 will do anything, because it does not affect you directly. Try living here and things would be different.

Excellent insight! We asked Moriarty why their trailer and materials are set up on Eye St and causing a major hazard. They said @DDOTDC approved their plans, and that CSX refused to grant them access to "their property." And you're right no one cares about the residents on whose backs this neighborhood is being developed. As logs as the City and the developers get their money, they're happy.

So darn sad. I do get so darn angry with all the politics in our world where they only care about pocketing the money!!!

Was this resolved or just closed by 311 without action? I'd like to see when they actually do something. None of the items I've read appear to have resulted in any action at all.

There are now marked & barricaded walkways for pedestrians... except they keep blocking / moving them.
