I'm not sure if this is something the City handles or Dept of Public Safety.... It's wonderful having a new ADA accessible sidewalk at the intersection of Wills Ln and Wills Rd; however, crossing the road at that location is such a risk. Cars rarely stop for pedestrians and kids are constantly going to/ from the park. There's proper signage and a crosswalk painted, yet cars ignore the signs and fly through with kids on either side of the road. Perhaps additional lights, warning tracks that you drive over, or any thing else that would get a driver's attention more than a sign would be great. Thanks for passing this along to the appropriate department!

Our Department of Public Safety operates periodic "sting" operations to address motorists failing to comply with state laws regarding yielding to pedestrians in marked crosswalks. We will advise them to add this location to their list of locations.
Unfortunately, no amount of signage, flashing lights, or other commonly used devices has proven effective in addressing the high number of motorists who fail to yield to pedestrians in crosswalks around Alpharetta. It is for this very reason that the City minimizes mid-block crosswalks and encourages all pedestrians to use crosswalks located at signalized intersections whenever possible.
