Mixed feelings??? About neighborhood beautification and improvements? Are you cray-cray-crazy?
Are you in any way related to the wild woman living in the painted truck/van?
That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
MJM no I am not not sure what truck your talking about there are a lot like your describing is the area
its mixed feeling cause I have seen how their park on peralta and 34th is always full of homeless people and it's not like I can walk up there and just sit on the table and have a picnic. I am afraid of the same thing happening here
I am happy they are finally doing something with this empty lot and I know it will get rid of some of the issues and problems but worried it will bring on other issues
I do have a meeting set up with executive director of city slickers coming up and I am hoping my concerns will be addressed
Pretty, but how long before the homeless take over? I've seen them in numerous park areas where kids play and how long before they take over the benches?
I see your point, I agree. There are always unforeseen consequences and new problems to replace the old. I was mortified to see what the homeless bums did to that beautiful structure city-slickers constructed on what I call 'crack-needle park'. At first I thought, great! What a nice improvement! Only to be shocked at the disgusting thing it became, until they had to actually de-construct that whole thing. Very sad
yea I remember that and now they have taken over their benches
I would like to see this park better where I feel comfortable to walk there and take my kids and participate in the farming and allow them to play in the kids park without having to worry about homeless people, needles, human waste and used condoms
keeping my fingers crossed
thanks for the info. I'm a little disappointed because actually I was hoping they were a nice condos or townhomes. I'm also really concerned about putting in a park after seeing what happened with the other one near the recycling center.
