If i have to pay an enviormental tax on everything from bottled water to tires, Why isn't there a enviormental tax on every drive through that has running vehicles, blocking traffic for a coffee. Most businesses have to have enough parking for their customers..NOT public streets. ENUFF is ENUFF.

I have been driving these city streets for many years now, and I have to admit, it is getting insane!
I made a joke the other day, about TBS having an ideal location now that the new Tim Horton's has opened up! That corner is ripe for some fender benders, because people think that as long as they are in line at a drive-thru, they can block traffic. Try turning the corner on, I believe it is 5th Avenue East, heading north, when vehicles are sitting in the turning lane waiting there turn for a cup of java! Does no one, the business owner or at City Hall, think of these things ahead of time? As this city expands, and more businesses open, some serious attention needs to be paid to these issues. Remember that at election time!

Don't blame the business. The engineering department is to blame for the traffic messes.
Almost all other drive troughs have enough line up space available and their lines don't start right off the street, they start in their parking lots so if a backup occurs there is room for patrons to wait or move out of line. Horton's are the only drive troughs that start on the street and cause line ups on city property and congesting traffic.
This is just another stupid bungle by our city planners.
