I hear you XYZ, is just that I'm kind of averse to calling in something like this after hearing other stories about calling. I know, that's no excuse, and I should have. Thing is, I know it's not a matter of life or death and I know there's a ton more immediate things that our PD (whom I absolutely support) get dispatched to. But...it IS a matter of quality of life that our neighborhoods shouldn't be subjected to this so long after the actual holiday. As an aside, my house is surrounded by brush, and I once had to stop college kids in the condos from shooting bottle rockets that were landing on my roof (btw, their reply was "sorry, we didn't think they came back down")! So in a sense it IS really a safety concern also. In any case, they've stopped for tonight, but I'm certain it will be the same routine tomorrow.

Please be advised that Sgt. Anastasio has retired and has been replaced by Sgt. Wilfredo Cruz, so issues in the 9th Police district should be addressed to him. I suggest you call the NHPD and ask to speak to Sgt. Cruz directly. He hit the ground running when he was chosen for this area, willing to personally meet with concerned residents to listen to our complaints but, more importantly, he acts on them. I bet if he is aware of your problem he will act on it.

seriously. i am tired if the fireworks and i love fireworks but i have a 7yo and 2 yo who get woken up scared thinking its a thunderstorm at first then i gotta get em back to sleep...btwm that the Harleys and those ridiculous car with the "enhanced" exhausts. those are what I'm really sick and fu(k¡ng tired of
