Description
Hi, I left a message for the City of Smyrna and haven't had a call back. We'd love to request a "no outlet" rider to go on the street sign for Greenglen subdivision at the corner of Stephens and Green Cove Way. Cars speed down Green Cove thinking it is a cut through to Bank St. Children play in the cul de sac so these speeders are dangerous. Thanks so much for passing this along.

Thank you for sharing your concern. Our Public Works department looked at this last week upon your request, and due to the City's decorative sign post ordinance, a "No Outlet" sign cannot be placed on the street sign mentioned above. However, a normal sign post and a 24x24 "No Outlet" sign can be placed on the Right of Way between street numbers 2870 and 2868. This request would need to come from the HOA for the subdivision.
Also, in the future, the best way for any requests/complaints/concerns to be reported to the City of Smyrna is by using our E-Gov system on our website. Here is the link for you to copy and paste: http://www.smyrnacity.com/index.aspx?page=266. You can also navigate to this page by going to our main website, www.smyrnacity.com, and selecting the top tab "I Want To..." and then scroll down and Select "Report." This will allow you to report your concerns so they go directly to the City (concerns reported via See Click Fix do not).
If your HOA wants to move forward with requesting the "No Outlet" sign in the Right of Way, they can do so by submitting a request via the website above or by contacting out Public Works department at 770-431-2850. Thank you and we hope this information was helpful!
