Motorcycle noise at all hours. And during rush hour -- in the late afternoon and early evening -- the building I live in shakes from the cars that have been converted into boom boxes. Torrington, clean yourself up before it's too late and you become a lot worse than a gritty little town. This place is like the Wild West, and that's very bad for those of us who see this community's potential but bemoan its remarkable lack of leadership and vision. I guess it's "legal" in Torrington, CT to keep people who work for a living up all night long with excessive noise. Why aren't tickets issued? Too bad nobody wants to buy residential property here. Those of us who'd like to get the heck out -- because Torrington is what it is instead of what it could be -- can't seem to find people foolish enough to buy our homes at a price anywhere near what we paid.
