suspicious activity in the two parking lots on state and east sts..People and kids hovering around the alleys and peeping into cars, scurrying off as soon as they hear something coming towards them...people jumping fences, bicycles stolen, cars broken into..we need more lighting, and better communication tools to alert nearby residents.

Thanks for reporting this Selam. If you notice this activity, please call the police immediately as they are aware of the problem and paying attention.
Are there specific reoccurring people that appear suspicious and do you have a description of them? There is a likelihood that it is the same one or two people that are doing the smash and grabs.

I did notify my landlord about 2 or so activities...but most other activities happen in the dark and it's hard to make out if it's the same folks.
I will definitely inform the police the next time anything like this happens!

We will continue to work with police to try and reduce car break-ins on State Street.

I haven't heard of anything in my part of the neighborhood since the last posting (crossing fingers), so either these suspects are reading these posts or officer patrols work! :)
