I'm not sure if your saying it's a huge disgrace to Walmart and their parking lots, or to this city. Either way, in order for the garbage to be clean forever, people need to clean up their acts and dispose of their garbage properly. There's only one way I know how the garbage ended up in the parking lot in the first place, the people and their bad habbits. And by 'people' I don't mean everyone. Just so were clear on that.

maybe if lazy people would pick up after themselves and stop leaving carts wherever they feel, it would be clean. This is the customer's doing and not WalMart's.

You have to put the blame on the shoppers. They don't need to get so excited when opening the Wally World bag that all of the packaging from their newly aquired item just happens to fly out the windon of their car. Also can't figure out how a parent does not notice that dirty diaper just falling off of the kid as he is getting into the car.

Shoppers, please remember, there are garbage cans in that lot for YOUR USE.

I never go to Walmart, so don't care about that nasty place at all. Let it be buried in garbage and gone from the comunity for good!!

If someone dumps garbage on my property, I'm obligated to clean it up. Walmart has the same responsibility. Other stores can do it, so why can't they?

Peg - Just because you are obligated to clean it up is still not an excuse for people to throw garbage out where ever they feel like it. That is the point that others are trying to make.

You can't legislate or outlaw ignorance and stupidity. If you watch any political meeting, you'll find it's even hard to legislate respect. It's human nature to "follow the crowd." If a place is dirty, then the followers will keep it dirty. If a place is kept clean, then the majority of followers will keep it clean. I say the majority because there's always one or two in every crowd.
