Description
There have been orange traffic barrels and a blinking sign in the left lane (heading west) on 200 South between Main Street and West Temple for the past several weeks. I don't see any construction or visible work, so why is part of this lane being blocked off (it's about 10 feet)? It's causing a lot of traffic as cars have to move to the right lane, especially during rush hour--there's so much congestion due to this one blockage.

Dear Amanda,
Thank you very much for your patience as we researched this situation.
I forwarded your email to the Transportation Division and received the following response:
"Century Link was working in the manholes at this location and have completed their job. The signs and barrels are now gone. This citizen most likely didn’t realize they were working in the area since it was underground work and wouldn’t have been obvious."
I hope this information is helpful to you. With any additional questions, please connect with the Transportation Division at 801-535-6630.
Best,
Rachel on behalf of Mayor Becker's Office
