It isnt that difficult to go from Carr Rd. to Northern Pines. A traffic light would be both a waste of time and money. I live very close (within sight distance) to this intersection, and only note a few accidents a year, tops. Typical of any intersection. The majority of the problem here is that when turning left from Carr to Northern Pines, sight distance to the southwest down Northern Pines is limited due to brush/vegetation along the edge of the right of way. In addition, cars travelling south on Northern Pines enter the left turn lane late, and many times do not "square off" their turn, rather cutting off the left turn lane at the end of Carr to straighten out this awkward turn.
The answer here-exercise patience. It isnt the intersection's fault if drivers get into accidents due to their inpatience and general neglect of vehicular right of way rules.
