I've lived in the neighborhood almost 2 years and have been broken into 3 times. Most recent was Monday. A young African American male knocked on my door at 8:00 am. I didn't answer but saw him out the window getting into a white Lexus two door with big blck rims. The driver was wearing a red base ball cap. I called OPD and they said there was nothing they could do, but to call back if I saw the car in the neighborhood. About 40 minutes later I saw it do a drive by again and called up OPD again. While on the phone two AA males wearing black hoodies and blue jeans approached my house, tried to look into my garage then jumped my side fence. Moments later they kicked in my back door. Scared off by either realizing there was someone in the house or my neighbor who yelled at them from his upstairs window, they left and walked back to their car. OPD arrived a few minutes later but was unable to find the vehicle. It was a car I have seen in the neighborhood and it is very recognizable. If anyone sees it please post it's location with picture.

This issue should not be closed. A review of the crime stats for beat 11X, clearly explains why this is an on-going issue.
Out of the 31 days in August, there were 39 instances of criminal activity. From petty theft to narcotics, to stolen vehicles, to burgulary, to felony assault, the crime report is full of continuing ocurrences of criminal behavior. Therefore, I request the issue I raised in July 2012 remain "open". Thank you.

This issue needs to remain open because robberies have still increased on beat 11X, especially the McCall St corridor which is just around the corner from me. Property theft remains high. While some thefts are crimes of opportunity, it"s still crime that negatively impacts our quality of life here in 11X.
