It is really worse than it was before they started working on it.

There was work going on in the general area late last year but it has just stopped in the past few weeks. The worst part of the road is the only area that has not been worked on at all--right under the trestle. It is in horrible shape.

Still under contract, Public Works came in and put 89 stone to fill in holes temporally.

Contractor is having railroad permitting issues at present.

putting in rocks as a temporary solution should not close this issue. They've done that many times before and the rocks just wash out. I think this issue should stay open until the road is fixed.

Thanks for the explanation, that helps me understand the issue better, but I think we still need to leave the issue open until it's fixed.

Sorry, B Jordan, you are mistaken if you think this issue is closed.

There is an earlier entry that the contractor is having an issue with a permit from the railroad. Who is the person at the railroad who is causing the permit delay? Has that delay been adequately been followed up on and addressed? Let me know what the contact information is for this person at the railroad, and I will be glad to get involved and discuss this with him or her in order to speed this along. I don't detect any sense of urgency with this matter. In fact, the best word to describe how this whole thing has been handled over the past few years is "Pitiful".

Still no progress. This is the main exit for the Cherry Blossom Festival, which starts in about 2 weeks. What's the plan for that? I think it is going to be a fiasco.

This issue is under contract, and work will begin on Monday, April 4, 2016.

Thank goodness a date has been set. People from the Cherry Blossom Festival are still going under the trestle because there is a big sign going up into the Public Works that says "NO THRU TRAFFIC".

I hope the work will start as promised on 4/4/16, and I'll believe it when I see it. As the previous post says, the Cherry Blossom traffic is going under the trestle because of the No Thru Traffic sign. Lots of people from out of town who will not think highly of that.
