Does the city have plans to widen Kimball Bridge Rd from 2 lanes to 4 lanes starting at Kimball Bridge Rd @ State Bridge Rd and ending at Kimball Bridge Rd @ Jones Bridge Rd. Abbotts Bridge Rd also needs to be widened from 2 lanes to 4 lanes starting at Abbotts Bridge Rd @ Jones Bridge Rd and ending at the city/county line with Duluth/Gwinnett County. Traffic in the area of Kimball Bridge Rd @ Webb Bridge Way/Milton Oaks Dr is especially congested during the morning and afternoon rush. I hope the city has plans to address these areas.

Per our Transportation Department:
The City of Johns Creek is currently working with the Georgia Department of Transportation on a project to widen Kimball Bridge Road from State Bridge Road to Jones Bridge Road.
At this time we are finalizing engineering plans and beginning right of way negotiations. Construction for the project should begin in early 2017.

There are 3 additional projects that the City is involved with for Abbotts Bridge Road.
1. Abbotts Bridge from Jones Bridge to Parsons (west). This is an operational improvement project which will add a median, bike lanes, enhanced sidewalks and will begin construction early this summer.
2. Abbotts Bridge from Parsons (west) to Medlock Bridge. We are currently working on Preliminary Engineering and plan to begin acquiring right of way by the end of the 2016 and construction is scheduled for early 2018.
3. Abbotts Bridge from Medlock to Peachtree Industrial. This project is in the preliminary engineering / environmental phase. We are anticipating right of way acquisition beginning in late 2017/early 2018 with construction scheduled in 2020.
