A traffic light on the corner would help. Also a little enforcement to stop the cars from PARKING in the road for 30 minutes every Monday through Friday would be a great improvement!

Traffic in and around schools is always busy during entrance and dismissal periods. This is especially compounded at 74th Street Elementary because their only access for student pick-up and drop off is from 74th Street. Therefore, the school district has purchase an off-site parking area just north of the school that will be developed shortly for over-flow parking for parents that arrive early and walk in to pick-up or drop-off their student. This should help to alleviate the on-street congestion and help to maintain clear travel for through motorists.

That is wonderful news that the school district is working to help resolve the issue. Hopefully the off-site parking area will also allow room to re-direct the flow of the parent cars, as these are the cars that are parked on 74th street daily at dismissal time.
