Since i have moved here I've noticed that almost everyone speeds down this road. As a parent of two young children it worries me. We need a speed bump put it.

The City will schedule Alfred Avenue for our speed radar trailer this spring, which is accompanied by increased enforcement by LPD during the time the trailer is in place. We will also collect traffic data to determine the current speeds and volumes. In order for the City to consider a street for speed humps, or other traffic calming measures, there must be a minimum of 500 vehicles per day traveling on the street and the 85th percentile speed (speed at which 85% of the traffic is traveling at or below) must be 35 miles per hour or higher. The last traffic count we had for Alfred was 375 vehicles per day.
