Several times a day the northbound streetcars stop with their hazards on for prolonged periods of time. This stretch of Parliament is very busy, leading to traffic snarls that are unnecessary. Cars have to go around the parked streetcars, which often obscure intersections, or parked just south of a crosswalk.
