Someone from forestry stopped by and left me a note. He said that it is on private property and he cannot make my neighbor take down the trees. I don't understand this. The trees pose a significant safety issue. How can the city force someone (or charge them) to cut their grass and shovel their sidewalk, but not take down dead trees that are threatening to cause property damage and possibly physical injury?
