There are several holes on
West Spring and Stevens
I fell yesterday in one of the cracks and hole. There are no sidewalks you have to walk out in the street. The Stevens Street bridge over pass and sidewalks are dirt and in the summer when I walk the tree branches are alwasy sticking out that I have to walk in the street

NO!!!!!!!!! sidewalks. There are no curbs there are no
storm drains. There are holes in the street. I guess we
will have to fall again and sue the city or wait until
electon time to get anything done.

Puddles and potholes every where. No storm drains.
They are desperatly needed. I think I will have to call
channel 8 news to get anything done. We pay taxes and
cant get anything done to our streets. It terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hole the was covered by a puddle of water. As I stated in my first message, the there are no sidewalks after the highway bridge. There are no storm drains and no curb stones. When I fell I was out in the middle of the street. I am going to channel 8 news to report this.

Dear Janice, Beth and Everyone else following this issue:
Here is a photograph from the same point in the street as the previous one, but facing the other direction. Instead of facing the bus coming across the bridge, this photo looks down Stevens Ave towards Shumway St. You can see that the point where the sidewalk ends on the right, and that there is no sidewalk on the left. Is there anything we can do make this area more pedestrian friendly? Also, Janice, I completely understand your concerns regarding the lack of drainage, but I believe that installing storm drains is an expensive and time-consuming process. Perhaps one of the engaged citizens following this thread will have some helpful suggestions. In any case, I agree with you that this area can definitely be improved, and I'm hoping to renew the debate on what exactly we can do.

thier yards on Stevens cut some of the tree branches and clean up the debree so that people can walk by. I know this is not kelsey ave or by the
beach area, but we do pay taxes as well and we should be able to walk to work without have to worry about falling or getting a tree branch in our eye. The tree branches also hide the street signs.
