This area of street people and and there encampments is a disgusting trash and waste strewn disaster.

David, you couldn't be more right.. Can the city leaders, churches, non profits figure this mess out. Some people say have compassion, but I'm not seeing any help from organizations except the tents and syringes. I feel for them because they have no where to bathe or use the bathroom, but than I think if they want out, they themselves have to want it. Compassion only goes so far. The city of Oakland needs to be held accountable for not doing enough. If rather see the encampments dealt with, than a sports arena or a bunch of fancy high rises. Duo disgusted
