As of Thursday 6-9-2016, the LeBauer construction project has blocked sidewalk access by extending its fenceline toward Church Street.

This diverts pedestrian sidewalk traffic into the street and creates a safety hazard to patrons of the GPL central branch who use the city parking deck for access tot he library, as well as endangering general pedestrian traffic.

Request GDOT look at this immediately to devise a safe way for pedestrians to move without occupying active traffic lanes on Church street to move between city facilities,.

I hope to notify Jim Young, facility manager, this morning to learn what plans are in place to mitigate. The fenceline may be here for a long time so this problem is not going away.
