Description
Hello!
It would be absolutely amazing if there could be a fenced-in dog park in Devir Park. There are many of us who walk our dogs on leash near the park--this comes up in conversations among us often. On the southeast side of the park (where I've attempted to place the pin=)) there is a good deal of unused grassy space. It would be such a great thing to have a fenced in dog area where pups could romp around and play safely with each other.
Trying to think of possible 'cons' to this proposal----but there really are none. In terms of noise level, there can't be an issue as there are basketball and baseball games there all the time with significantly more noise. And in terms of 'messes' - we would clean up after our animals.
If more steps are required for something like this, I'd love to know what the process would be. I would be happy to spearhead an effort to take the steps to create a fenced-in, dog-friendly area. If it's done right, it would be an amazing attribute to the park.
Again, I'm happy to take this on as I am a nearby resident (one block away on Wicklow Street). I would more than welcome a phone call to chat more about this.
Thank you so much for your time!
Cheers~*~
