The new lane markings at College Avenue and Village Crest/Autumn River have created an unsafe intersection. Residents of the Autumn River community leaving on Autumn River Rd cannot see oncoming traffic from the left on College Ave before actually entering the intersection itself. As seen in the photograph provided, the slope of the hill obstructs visibility down College Avenue. Due to these obstructions, drivers travelling on College Avenue also cannot see cross-traffic leaving the Autumn River community either; therefore, neither driver in either direction has sufficiently visibility to avoid a collision should one be imminent, especially since speeding is already an issue on College Ave.

The shoulder on College Ave, which is now a drive lane, used to provide drivers on College Avenue and Village Crest/Autumn River sufficient visibility to cross the street safely. The former straight-through drive lane on College is now a left-turn lane to Village Crest, which does not seem necessary as traffic does not ever back up for left turners. Please consider changing the left turn lane back into the main straight-through lane and changing the current straight-through lane back into a right turn only lane.
