Description
The oversize utility pole installed after hurricane Sandy on the circle at Hickory Court is leaning approximately 10-15° and appears to be slowly progressing. Consequently, the utility wires are drooping.
The industrial-size pole was never appropriate for residential use but was installed following Hurricane Sandy when the supply of residential poles was depleted.
The massive utility pole poses a danger to public safety in light of its larger mass if it falls, as the last one did in 2012. It too had been leaning. The pole should be replaced with a residential-size pole as soon as possible.
