The City of Oakland Public Works Agency has received this issue. It is registered as service request # 432550. Thank you, in advance, for your patience as we work through a backlog of pothole service requests. Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.

Seems like this is a recurring issue and hurts vehicles, bus passengers and pedestrians. Is it typical for a pothole to recurr annually? If it was just fixed last year and its already a problem again I think it's worth looking into why and if in fact illegal dumping of chemicals is occurring on a daily basis, as another post suggested.
Thank you for your request. According to our system, we already have an open service request at this location. Your service request has been combined with service request # 429709 . If you would like to check the status of the request, please contact the Public Works Call Center at (510) 615-5566 or pwacallcenter@oaklandnet.com.

Over 8 individual complaints are list for this pot hole. There is even a cone in it now. This has been an open ticket for nearly 6 weeks and still poses a daily threat to cyclist and motorist due to its depth. Not to mention the water hazard to the sitting pedestrians at the bus stop it resides in front of.
Why the delay????
The entire repair was done in what appears to be a great deal of haste...as a result, there is a wave of sloppy tar and asphalt. This is still a road hazard.

Double potholes in front of bus stop (west side of Telegraph before Alcatraz) where bicycle will pass. Potholes are shaded in mid-July, late afternoon sun and difficult to see.
First hole is jarring, second hole caused my front wheel to stop and I hit the ground. This is dangerous!
