They are in violation of not only federal ADA requirements they are in violation Oakland municipal codes 9.08.160-Sitting or lying on streets or sidewalks, 9.08.170-Obstructing pedestrians. So is the City of Oakland also liable for not enforcing the laws that allow access to this medical clinic. Whats it going to take a federal lawsuit against the City.

In 2013 MLK was suppose to be cleaned up of all homeless encampments and they were not to return. Oakland's lack of enforcement lack of anything is appalling. This Mayor, city leaders, Ms. McElhaney all need to go.

I'm quite disillusioned and confused about our inalienable rights. Does the homeless have rights? Of course they do! Does the homeless rights take precedence over the general public? Not sure because they are doing it. Does the homeless rights take precedence over the handicap in wheel chairs and mothers with baby strollers. Not sure because they are doing it. Are we (taxpayers) are brothers' keepers (homeless) to provide. Not sure because it has became our problem like it or not.

Right now the homeless are winning more rights than the rest of us. I'm sorry but just because one is homeless, doesn't mean you get to break every law, unless it's in Oakland. If these city leaders don't want the responsibility than they should quit and let someone else do the job. I think we moved here when Dellums was mayor and it's been bad ever since, but this is the worst that I've seen
