I live on 9th Ave also (near 72nd St.). While I agree that I see city trucks exceeding the speed limit, I would say that the speed limit is often exceeded by all manner of vehicles. It is a virtual racetrack for many reckless drivers who use the long straightaway particularly during late afternoon, evening and early morning hours. I place little hope in this improving as I've lived in my home since '86 and this safety issue has never been improved. Two of my neighbors homes have been hit by speeding cars and I've seen many, many accidents near my home. It's the only thing I don't like about my neighborhood and I'm always thinking about moving (but I never do ;)

The City of St Petersburg periodically reviews past reports that are made from citizens within our city limits, and in an effort to clean-up old issues that were resolved some time ago, we are marking as 'closed' those issues that were submitted in the past for which the work has been completed or the issue has otherwise been resolved.
