This comment is a duplication. We are currently working/monitoring this segment for coordination. It is an ongoing process and we will continue to work on this.
I agree that uncoordinated traffic lights are annoying, however, if Seminole Blvd isn't getting it done for you, as I said there are alternate routes available. 113th isn't THAT far out of the way. Have you tried talking to your elected city/county officials regarding this issue?
http://www.pinellascounty.org/commission/ http://www.myseminole.com/city_council.htm We live in the most densely populated county in the state, and it's even busier now in snowbird season.
Good luck.
That is next on my list to visit my commissioner. Just getting together my facts to present. Seminole is a state road and is required to be coordinated by FDOT. The county is running an adaptive system there and other places around the county called InSync. If you drive around the county through those corridors you would agree it isn't working. It certainly isn't 'real time' adaptive. Even the CEO of the company is quoted to say " Synchronized traffic signals save lives' . If only his product did that!
Stop the madness!!!!
Dane, there's 10,000 people a day that drive this corridor. Your the only one that's upset and your hatred of the county shows in your comments. Have you tried asking Jesus what you should do next? Have a wonderful New Year!
So Spanky, it is OK for signals to be messed up? Maybe the 9,999 others according to your math don't know who to contact? That it can be better? In fact has been better before InSync! I have lived in the county many years and traffic is worse not just because increased volume , but traffic systems being used that aren't working.
To quote CEO of Rhythm "Synchronized traffic signals save lives", so it is more than just annoying!
We have investigated your complaint and have made the necessary adjustment if it was needed. If you feel that this issue still exist, please contact the Traffic Management Center at 727-464-8926. Please visit www.pinellascounty.org/surveys/PublicWorks to tell us how we are doing, Thank You!
