Description
Last week, as I was standing on the TTC platform at Union Station, I observed [for the third time] a mouse running alongside the track and then under the third rail. I tried to take a picture of it with my cell phone but the rodent was too far away, I did not have a zoom and then the train pulled in. I have also seen in the past year a mouse running along the platform at York Mills station! Obviously, the TTC needs to clean up the problem before someone really gets spooked or worse!

They are not going to drag you into their den and have you for dinner.
If it was a Black Bear or Skunk I could see you being concerned but it is a mouse.
Plenty of room for both of you.
I don't see what the problem is.

I guess you're not concerned with what tourists may think of our city if they see mice at Union Station, a major transportation hub of the city....
With mice at track level and running along the platform, it is possible they could enter a subway car and and freak someone out...
a) Maybe someone onboard gets bitten and contracts a disease carried by the mouse?
b) Maybe someone cautiously presses the emergency alarm upon hearing someone reacting to or being bitten by a mouse? The whole subway line "could" needlessly slow down or come to a stop until the investigation is completed.
c) Maybe the mouse gets into someone's bag on the floor and that person ends up with an infestation in their home...

What? That was a ridiculous possibility. Mouse and rats live outside, and unfortunately sometimes, in the subway stations.
