I'm guessing this problem will only be addressed by the NEXT mayor. Although I had been happy with our present mayor up to now, he has clearly shown we need a new plan by a new mayor to address this problem. Counsel too!! With the new buildings going up and the huge influx of more people and cars a plan is needed to stop the illegal parking. Clearly by the businesses it is watched carefully. However, in this area we are completely ignored. The area is around 10th street by Coles St and Jersey Ave. Cars are parking all day illegally with the parking authority completely ignoring calls to please come down and police the area. The other night a fire truck had to completely stop to navigate the corner of 10th and Coles because of the cars parked on the corners illegally. They are parked all day with no parking decals and even out of state plates. On Jersey Ave and 10th cars park EVERY day in an area clearly marked with paint and signs. Even over on 18th off Coles is a mess. I have made calls to the mayor's office and call the Parking Authority often (I called every day for a while, but they just ignore me or don't even answer the phone at times. It's a mess and it needs to be addressed. We need a plan to address the influx of all the people and cars before we turn into a "little New York". Finally, the street garbage is getting worse too!!!
