Description
Tractor trailers, gasoline tankers, and logging trucks with trailers are ignoring the posted Route 213 truck detour and weight limit and are travelling through Sawdust Road, County Route 26. There is a tight-radius turn that these trucks cannot safely navigate and a rock outcrop on this turn could cause a truck to turn over. In addition, cars are being forced off the road and electric services are being pulled down by too-tall trucks.

Hi, Nick. I live two miles up Binnewater Road from this.
RPD needs a squad car at this location from 8 A.M. to 6 P.M. Monday-Friday. That silly radar sign means nothing if no one enforces traffic regulations.
The locals (Rosendale, High Falls, Esopus and Bloomington) are not the problem (we're pretty respectful with each other, we're not Kingston, where people couldn't obey stop signs on Wall & N. Front Street), but unfortunately are getting left with one. And I agree, Sawdust Road is nothing but blind turns and low wires. If the trucks can't be re-routed, someone should be watching them during business hours.

PLEASE get the cops onto Sawdust permanently. I don't care if you can't afford it, we're going to eventually have a worse accident than the ones we've been having. (Flipped cars, grazings, you name it.)
On another note, when the cops or ambulances fly past, it would be nice if they could warn us that they're coming. No reason to drive by without your sirens on. That's why the vehicles were equipped with them.
