Description

Northbound traffic on 700E is allowed to turn left onto Roosevelt Ave (1460 S.) but not Browning to the north or Kensington to the south. Roosevelt Ave. is much narrower and in much worse shape than either of those other two streets. Also there are 28 homes on Roosevelt compared to 22 homes on Kensington resulting in many more cars parked on the street, so that traffic cannot move freely in both directions. It's a game of chicken with oncoming traffic until someone pulls over to let the other pass. Kensington was also resurfaced recently and would be a much better candidate to have the turn lane directed there. See the attached photographs for comparisons of the three streets.
