The Eureka CDTA stop is serving S.S. city residents. The Hayes stop is especially convenient to the Milton area of Geyser Crest and people patronizing the businesses in Milton. The bus stops are convenient but the respective communities, S.S. and Milton, have not created safe places to wait for the bus. Milton was supposed to have built sidewalks on both sides of Geyser Road. They got a million dollars to do that project but we still have not seen any sidewalks built. Bus stop waiting slabs could have been included in that project. So call your officials in Milton and ask questions like "where are the sidewalks and where is the money?"
Saratoga Springs continues to point to someone else and avoid responsibility. Until they change their form of government, basic improvements in safety are unlikely.
Then there is the County. Geyser Road is a County road so perhaps they could give us a few squares of cement so we don't have to wait for a bus in the ditch. Call your County Supervisor and ask, and ask, and ask.
