Description
I live on Rose Lane and the end of the street which is a dead end. When there is excessive raining Our neighborhood is flooded in. There are approximately (60) sixty homes located past the bridge area that floods. When this happens we are unable to get out. We are unable to go to work, the children are unable to go to school and no emergency vehicle can come in if an emergency occurred. I have been living here for 16 years and this happens about 1 to 2 times per year. Neighbors stated that about a few years back stated they where going to clear a wooded area to make a road through but this has not happened. Could you address this issue and let us know what the City of Raleigh is planning to do or if it is even in the plan. Some people have driven through the rushing water and cars stall out and some people have tried to walk through, one person was swept down the creek last year and had to be rescued. This is an on-going every year issue. You may contact me at 919/508/1202 or 919/264-5566 or email me at debjohnson@rhaonline.com If this is being submitted to the incorrect department please send it to the appropriate department. Could someone please look into this issue and let us know what the community needs to do in order to get this problem fixed because it' not right that we are shut off from everything when this happens with no recourse.
Thank you, Respectfully Debra Johnson
