This has come up in this forum before and in isolation seems to be a good idea. However, the no turn on red enables Coldstream drivers some semblance of a chance of getting out to turn both left and right on stilly Mill. Not surprisingly, it is difficult to find a driver willing to let the Dunwoody Highlands' residents onto Tilly Mill. The no turn on red sign is one of our very few advocates. Therefore I do not support this idea.

At minimum, I would suggest Dunwoody correct the light timing to its state about a month ago. This light was adjusted in early April, causing backups on Peeler due to wait times being more than tripled before receiving a green light.

Shameful that nothing has been done. I takes twice as long to get to work due to this intersection. The drivers on Tilly Mill find it imperative to "block the box". How about some police monitoring to discourage this. Light for Peeler needs to be longer.

Thank you for your comment about the recent timing change. We were able to identify that one of the vehicle detectors is broken, and we have made changes to reduce delay until a permanent fix can be completed.

Maybe this would serve as a deterrent to those that are using Coldstream as a cut thru as it is clearly marked NO THRU TRAFFIC.

Actually, there should be a no left turn sign at Coldstream where it intersects with Tilly Mill. It would be much safer for those wanting to use Coldstream (illegally) as a short cut from Happy Hollow to not have a left hand turn as an option there.

I live in the subdivision that has Coldstream as its main artery. I need the ability to leave my own neighborhood. The right turn is enabled by the no turn on red sign as described in my initial comment.

I disagree that there needs to be a no left turn sign. I've safely turned left for over 10 years. I'm not clear how this is relevant to the issue at hand.

Those wishing to turn right out of Coldstream have the ability to do so thru the lights entire cycle. It's like those turning right from Peeler are idiots and can't tell whether or not it's clear. However, if you are turning right from Coldstream, go ahead, you must have went to Harvard.

This thread should be closed as the light has been corrected. The Coldstream traffic should be moved to a new thread if this is to be continued.

Steve, the thread wasn't about the timing of the light. The thread was about having an opportunity to turn right out of Peeler on a green arrow when traffic from Tilly Mill has a green arrow turning left onto Peeler. DG, to give those turning out of Coldstream priority over those using Peeler goes against the flow of where the most traffic is generated from. The high volume of traffic illegally using Coldstream should not be rewarded.
