I called PW Traffic Engineering. They told me it is Operations who needs to look at this. Stop giving me the runaround NOW before it really gets started. Someone is responsible for handling this report. How about sending it on the the City Manager? Or maybe the Kayor?

Still no word on this. I See no change to this issue. What's up?

The traffic signal foundation is in the middle of sidewalk and it does prohibit certain pedestrians from using the sidewalk. The City of Virginia Beach does not own the land to the northeast of the intersection so we cannot install a proper sidewalk. The City of Virginia Beach is moving forward with securing funding and asking for a “traffic-pedestrian easement” across the private property so that a new sidewalk can be installed in the future. This requires surveying, a plat and may require property acquisition and/or condemnation of that part of the property. This is a process and it will take time but the process has begun.
