Agreed Al. The city needs to start towing. I think towing is the quickest way to change a driver's behavior. It is quite a deterrent to illegal parking. It should be a "given" that a vehicle will be towed. All the zoned parking signs state that cars parked over the limit will be towed. But in 25 years of living here I have never seen a vehicle towed. I also thought that vehicles with commercial plates were not permitted to park on the street.

The Mayor and City Counsel need to come up with a new plan. Too many new buildings with visitors are using parking spaces reserved for people with permits. It's just a blatant disregard for our neighborhood and the rules!!!

Agreed. I saw five cars parked illegally on 18th Street at 8:30 pm last night across from the Cast Iron Lofts. The vehicles were parked in a traffic lane. Scores of other vehicles were parked the length of Hoboken Ave half way up the hill.

My last comment on the subject: there is an election coming. We need new mayor and counsel if the present ones don't get it!!!

I would just like to say that since the parking regulations were changed for street cleaning people stopped moving their cars. In essence they get parking for 55.00 a week. What a deal! I have one of those deadbeats in my driveway and because I can still get my car out the city does nothing. They break my chops because I have a long driveway that was grandfathered in. So I cannot get the front of my house cleaned, and I cannot get the dead beats ticketed. What a deal. You are right we need someone new to run against Fulop.
