I live on Red Lion Way in Pasadena. I was approached my an African American female on Friday May 19 at approximately 5:00 pm. She stated that she worked for a siding company that was putting new siding on a neighbor's house and that they would need to shut down the road. She said as a courtesy, her company was providing free estimates to the neighborhood. I was very suspicious as she approached me with this information as I was trying to get my two children out of the car and into the house. I told her I did not have time to speak with her but I did ask her what day the project was happening. She hesitated but said Wednesday. I then asked her what time and she replied, "I think 10:00." I asked her what time people would be able to get back down the street and she couldn't t tell me. My concern is that she was trying to determine when people would not be home. I am concerned for my family's safety because I think it was obvious I was returning home from work. This woman was not in any clothing that indicated that she worked for a company. She was actually wearing work out gear (leggings and tight work out sleeveless top). She had something bunched up in her left sock but I'm not sure what it was. She did not offer me any brochures or say who she worked for. She had long dark hair and was maybe in her late twenties or early thirties. I tried to call the non emergency line for the eastern district tonight but it just kept ringing and I did not get a voicemail or anything. I did want to report this because the more I think about it, the more suspicious it seems. If someone from the police department could please call me I would really appreciate it.
