The city recently accepted bids for replacing the failed curb and storm at this location (SW 8th and Jackson). We were planning to have the work done this fall, unfortunately the bids received were significantly higher than expected. We are rebidding the project this winter when contractors are trying to secure work for 2021. We do expect lower bids and anticipate the work being completed in the spring of 2021.

Congratulations!!! Please check the photo below from 5/7/21. I think you can probably close this Issue from June 2017. And you have finished ahead of all the dates mentioned in the 9 comments and/or updates. And more than a year ahead of the 2017 estimation that it would be done by June 2022. Yes this site is on the NW corner of the Statehouse grounds. Good work but why 4 years? Or do red spray paint arrows mean it is now scheduled to be torn out for some reason? Certainly hope NOT. Sorry cannot get the photo to attach but drive to 8th and Jackson please.

Finally here is the photo. The repair is great and this SCF issue can probably be closed well ahead of the 6/2022 estimated response. I'm still worried about what the red spray paint marking are about.

We do not know what the locate marks are for, they appear to be faded, so it's possible they were placed previously when there were water breaks on Jackson.

When were the water main breaks on Jackson? The closest Red diamond is on top of the New Concrete curb. What month of 2021 was the curb and gutter repair work done at this location? Before or after the water main breaks? just curious
