We were there today as well and saying the same thing! They've just renovated another park on Bristol St but it's got the same crowd as Vets and some of the disrespectful older kids ruin it for the younger ones and I'm sure that swing as well! We could use a nice park like Melrose Commons, nothing fancy but practical! Fences in area with age appropriate different areas and with tricycles and scooters for public use.... until then we will be in Melrose, if you haven't been there, you have to check it out!!

Yes !!! I have been there a couple of times but sometimes you just want to take a short walk to the park before dinner instead of taking the car and drive to the park. This park in melrose is simple but so fun. We really need a little nice parc like that close to our houses, like you said nothing fancy but at least not broken and fallen apart.

I totally agree!!! We NEED and should have one here for so many reasons beyond our own, all the little league games as well as all the soccer games for ever age group plays there, people come from all over and that's what represents Saugus (which totally doesn't accurately in its current state)! the 2 new parks are almost in the same neighborhood, that I found funny but I'm SURE they both were horrible before and needed it too! I just hope Anna Parker doesn't get forgotten about because it's out of sight so I'm glad you posted this!! Also there's a big vote 6/20/17 about the new middle/high school proposal- I live in the big blue house across the street if you need any information on it or where to vote anything I can fill you in! Congrats on the baby!!

Haha it is!! Thank you! So the park @ Veterans school on Hurd Ave (we walk and drive) it's not entirely fenced in line Melrose but it is new and amazing! It can get crazy and just a few kids can get rude at times but most kids are great and I'm hoping that with the newest park opening on Bristow St right off Lincoln Ave before Kane's! If it's crowded, it can get a little crazy but otherwise they are both really great!
