The City does not remove dead trees leaning over the river. The trees serve an ecological purpose in a riparian zone. Recreational users of the river assume an inherent risk of outdoor activities in a natural area. The city also does not have the resources to manage hundreds, if not thousands of dead trees along the Huron River.
