Thank you for submitting your concern. City staff will look into the issue(s) and take action appropriately. If we need further information or need access to your property to verify the concern, we will contact you. In the meantime, feel free to contact me, Ken Ho, at 650-286-3238 if you have any questions.
Per Code Enforcement protocol (as adopted by City Council), letters are mailed to homeowners to attain compliance with the Municipal Code. After a time-sensitive series of 3 letters and 3 inspections, if the issue is not corrected and the owner has not contacted the Planning Department with a schedule for repairs, the case gets turned over to the City Attorney. The City Attorney can take the homeowners to court if they do not comply with the demand letter.
The larger the issue, the longer it can take to resolve it. Please be patient. Please call me if you have any further questions. (650) 286-3238
Spoke with Homeowner- they are going to remove or fill in the pool. Looking for a contractor and will pull building and public works permits as soon as they have it all lined up.
The City Attorneys served a demand letter on 11/2/17, initiating the legal process. This takes some time. My earlier comment about speaking with a homeowner turned out to be a misunderstanding- sorry for not editing that (you cannot edit on here). The homeowner has not been in contact, which is why the Code Enforcement process had to continue, which has lead us to the Legal Proceeding. Please be patient. I'll update this as info is received, but the case is being handled by the Attorneys. Please call me if you have further questions. 650-286-3238
The homeowners have not complied, and the City Attorney was preparing the Complaint as of 1/25/18. As mentioned earlier, you can call for updates. 650-286-3238
