The city came by after this request and determined it wasn’t an urgent issue and never checked the health of this tree. Said we could trim the branches on our own and at our own cost. The tree fell over today. It completely uprooted and fell over. It was obvious the tree had not been well for a while. The city planted this tree 12 years ago and has not maintained it in any way, even once. Thank God no one was injured. Our car is damaged. The fire department is removing the tree right now. Since this is a city tree, we need to know how the city will work with our insurance to pay for the damage.
